Hello NEED 2 READERS we just wanted to say thank you to all of you that turned out last night for the Picasso reading! It was so nice to see some new faces and of course the faces we always love to see! It was such a great night and what a fun read. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did.

It looks like its going to be and exciting year and we couldn't do it without your continual support. If you missed out this time please join us next month. We are really looking forward to next months selection of HURLY BURLY! Thank you Jeff for the recommendation.

Hey, Gang!!!Ready for the fifth session of N2R?The play is set: Steve Martin's PICASSO AT THE LAPIN AGILE; we also got 2 new works-in-process by Frank & Christine.The date and time are set: Tuesday, 3 February 2009 @ 7.30p. One more thing, let us know if you are coming or not so that we can work on getting a working cast list up. As y'all know from the last reading, casting is suject to change but the sooner you let us know if you are coming (or not), the better and easier it is for us!And please, if you have friends that would like to be involved in the reading, invite them! We crave the presence of new blood! The more the merrier (as they say...)!

Hello Need 2 Read kids and interested parties! Important update for you! We are getting ready for the next reading which will be PICASSO AT THE LAPIN AGILE BY STEVE MARTIN to be followed by reading of new works by our members. 

As of late, Need 2 Read has met on a Thursday. This month we will be meeting on either TUESDAY FEBRUARY 3RD AT 7:30PM OR ON FRIDAY FEBRUARY 6TH AT 7:30 PM. We need to get your votes in ASAP as to which date NEED 2 READ should be on....the sooner the better!

We are working on some great stuff for the coming months and the rest of the year so we would love to see familiar faces and to add some new ones.

First of all I have to say thank you again for all of you who attended N2R IV. We had such great time and everyone who attended made it a great success. For those of who have not read August: Osage County, we(using it in a royal sense, LOL) highly recommend it. Its truly an American Classic.


I can't believe this was our fourth play reading this year! We started off with The Rabbit Hole, next up was The Maidens Prayer, then Hay Fever and finally August: Osage County. I can't begin to tell you how truly grateful I am to all the friends who have came out and supported our little group which keeps getting bigger and better every time with the addition of new friends. There are not too many venues today that bring you in close, welcome you as family and touches your heart like the theatre. That is one of the main reasons we get together every month, where ever possible and read! We don't care what agency you are with, what your "type" is or what roles you think you can't read. All that we ask of you is to share some creative energy with us as we take this journey every month into this amazing world of theatre.




Goals for 2009! (BECAUSE YOU NEED 2 HAVE GOALS!)
1. NEW YEAR, NEW WORKS!
We are excited to start off the New Year with some NEW WORKS! We are taking the month of January off and jumping back in the month of February with readings from original works. If you have an excerpt from something you are currently working on and would like to hear it read contact Christine and we will get cracking with adding it to our February list of NEED 2.


2. UP ON ITS FEET! (NEED 2 PLAY)
With this next coming year we are hoping to mount a full theatrical production on its feet. "HEY! You're just a reading group." No we are not! From the very beginning our vision was to take this reading group and nurture it into a company of players. This of course is not an easy task(especial in the city of angels) but we are up for the challenge!


3. TRADITION...TRADITION!!!!
We are still standing by our reading series and are always open for more to participate! What we will be reading is usually determined at the previous reading so if you want to have a voice in whats read, "Well, SET THE TIVO AND COME AND JOIN US! We extend this invitation to you every month to come and join us and read, read, read!

Hey NEED 2 READERS!

Its been a while, but its that time again tomorrow! We get to sink our teeth into August: Osage County. We have moved the reading to a space, genoursly donated by Mr. Justin Waggle. He has been using this space to rehearse his one man show he is putting up! Thanks Justin.
